"Always Looking Like a Smoke-Show" 🥰 Stormy McClain Lodge Wedding

We have never had a wedding day with such tumultuous weather as we did on this particular June Saturday. From beautiful sunshine to downpours and lightning, though it may not have been the day Nikki and Brynner hoped for regarding their wedding day, nothing could dampen their incredible and genuine love for each other.

The day began with Brynner and his guys walking into the venue in crazy costumes. Brynner mentioned that he really loves the humourous moments of life, and they did indeed look funny, especially the groom walking in with the quintessential “monkey suit” on. Nikki, however, looked like a regal queen with her hair and makeup ready for the big day. Her gown was so stunning with its intricacies in beading and glamour. Like Brynner constantly says, she looked like a “smoke show.”

Their first look was so sweet and you could tell that their love was sincere. The majority of the afternoon consisted of photos with the bridal party in which the couple “iced” all their party at their first look. There was never a dull moment with this fun crew!

Though the rain and storm changed the location of the ceremony, it was still sentimental and sweet. They had asked one of Brynner’s groomsmen to officiate the wedding. With that, the groomsman forgot to tell the guests to take their seats after Nikki was at the altar. Regardless, it was a joy seeing these two finally tie the knot.

Afterward, the storm was gone and left them some time to walk around the lovely McClain Lodge grounds. The reception was lively and filled with delicious food. The groom's cake, with Brynner being a Marvel fan, was the "Infinity Gauntlet". Together Nikki and Brynner’s day was perfect for this sincere and fun couple.

Nikki and Brynner were married on June 10, 2023, at McClain Lodge in Brandon, Mississippi.

Elegant Meridian Wedding with Fun Reception at Northwood

Rachel and Chris wanted to start the new year right. And what better way than to get married!? Rachel and Chris’ wedding day was a gorgeous, crisp, and perfect day in January. Elegance and timelessness enveloped the day in many ways.

Rachel started the day at her mom’s home as she was surrounded by her two best childhood friends and her two sisters. Rachel beamed with radiance as she stood by the big window in her classy ball-gown wedding dress. Her bouquet was simply orchids that exuded nothing but elegance. Rachel had her first look with her bridesmaids and her stepdad at the house. Chris met Rachel at the Northwood Country Club.

Rachel and Chris had the sweetest first look on the green of the golf course surrounded by beautiful winter foliage. They took several moments to be together and then they were ready to go to the church. When they arrived at the church, Rachel had a first look with her dad. Rachel and Chris were at ease and very comfortable with each other as they took photos. One could tell that they simply enjoyed being together on such a special day.

The ceremony was beautiful as it was set in the old Presbyterian church. The altar with the cross decorated so delicately was the perfect backdrop to their marriage ceremony. They also had both of their childhood pastors marry them. Chris’ pastor married his parents as well! When all the vows were made and the kiss that sealed it, a vintage trolley was outside the church and whisked them away to the reception.

The reception was held at Northwood Country Club where delicious food was served, drinks were made, and people were ready to party. The band got everybody excited and the couple dance their first dance in front of their family and loved ones. The bride's cake was gorgeous as it was decorated too with orchids under a baby's-breath floral chandelier. There was a photo booth where guests could take favors from the wedding. At the end of the reception, Rachel and Chris left through a tunnel of bubbles and laughed in a vintage car. It was nothing short of perfect.

Rachel and Chris were married on January 14, 2023, at First Presbyterian Church of Meridian in Meridian, Mississippi.

Classic Spring Wedding at Dodson Farm | Starkville, MS

Our spring and summer weddings at Dodson Farm have always been absolutely gorgeous. Green shimmering leaves on majestic old oak trees, the shining lake in the distance, and the rolling hills of tall wavy grass only begin to describe its beauty.

Chris and Blake’s wedding day was yet another stunning day with perfect weather and filled with beauty. Blake was lovely in her off the shoulder wedding gown. The veil and the hair piece were also incredible touches that made her beam as a beautiful bride. The first looks with her bridesmaids and father were full of emotion and tender-hearted moments. The first look with Chris in his sleek black tux was another highlight of the day. Right after they saw each other, you could see the comfort and ease set in on Chris and Blake’s faces. They were finally together ready to take the next step of life as husband and wife. In Chris’ tux, there were two pictures pinned on the inside pocket of passed loved ones. That moment was such a sweet aspect to film. Though they were not there in the physical sense, it was evident they were there in spirit.

The ceremony was also a beautiful highlight of the whole day. The altar had a large cross as the centerpiece with gorgeous floral arrangements at each side. The couple also tied a unity knot together which took place at the side of the outdoor chapel. They also had the surprise of having an artist paint this scene for them to cherish forever.

The reception that followed was the perfect finale of the day. Delicious food, flowing drinks, and U.S. the band, caused the celebration to be an easy task. The cakes were also beautiful centerpieces that perfectly depicted this couple’s classy and personal sides. Nothing but a sparkler send off would have done for this sweet and adorable couple. Everything about their day was genuine and sincere.

Chris and Blake were married on April 30, 2022 at Dodson Farm in Starkville, MS.

Classy Winter Wedding in Historic Meridian, MS

Katherine and Jackson’s wedding day was nothing short of amazing. After being together for several years, the wait was finally over to tie the knot and begin life together as husband and wife.

Katherine got ready at her parent's home outside the city of Meridian. The home was an amazing backdrop for the getting ready moments, the first looks, and the photos of the bridal party and family. Even the family dogs got in on the action which is always one of our favorite things to film! Katherine’s dress was absolutely beautiful with the sleeves coming around to form a bow in the back. She looked stunning. Jackson also looked great in his classic black tuxedo.

The bridal party and families also gathered outside the home for their portraits. Afterward, a trolley came to take everyone to the beautiful First Christian Church of Meridian.

The church has a remarkable outer exterior of stones making it look like it’s from a different century. The inside is also quite stunning with the stained glass windows and high beamed ceilings. It was the perfect place for Katherine and Jackson to be married.

After the ceremony which featured a congressional communion, friends and family gathered at Northwood Country Club to celebrate the happy couple. Everything about the reception was exceptional. The food, beverages, and cakes were delightful. Groove Factor played wonderfully and got the party started. Santa even made an appearance! Katherine and Jackson were showered with happiness and love as they began their married life together.

Katherine and Jackson were married on December 4, 2021, at First Christian Church of Meridian, Mississippi.

Stunning Castle Hill Wedding on a Beautiful Fall Day | Oxford, MS

Lauren and Austin’s wedding day was such a gorgeous day. Beautifully sunny, a fresh fall breeze twirling through the trees, and the astounding backdrop of Castle Hill of Oxford behind them, this sweet couple was ready to finally tie the knot.

Lauren and her girls were celebrating all morning while they got their hair and makeup done. Singing to their favorite songs and drinking mimosas was the best way to begin the day! Lauren and her family are very close to their niece, precious Kynleigh. Kynleigh got to wear the bride's dress before it was time for her to put it on. The dress was beautifully designed with gorgeous sequins intricately placed. Lauren was such a beautiful bride.

Her first looks with her father and Kynleigh were so sweet. When Austin turned around to see her you could tell he was speechless. Lauren just glowed with ease and beauty. Austin and Lauren together were so sweet and they immediately became more comfortable seeing each other before the big ceremony.

The ceremony was also such a highlight of the day. With the elegant piano and violin musicians, the stunning white walls of the chapel at Castle Hill, and the pops of color of the vast arrangements of flowers, everything was just breathtaking. Lauren and Austin had a sweet and simple ceremony with a moment for them to take communion together.

The reception to follow was nothing short of amazing as well. The bridal party was introduced in style and the first dances which included a special dance for Lauren and Kynleigh were all so sweet. The food was delicious and the cakes and homemade cookies were perfect. The band got the party going from the very beginning and you could tell everyone was having a wonderful time. It was such a wonderful wedding day for the sweet couple!

Anna + HC

When you step into Old Waverly Golf Club, it seems like you step back in time. Huge elegant paintings hang on almost every inch of the walls. Large windows look out onto the vast landscapes surrounding the club. Elegance, classic, timeless seem to become tangible realities when one steps onto the grounds.

Elegance, classic, and timeless are also the best adjectives to describe the wedding day of HC and Anna. Anna beamed in her wedding gown and her radiance only escalated when she opened the crown jewel of her attire, an heirloom necklace given by HC. Exchanging intimate letters during their first look, nothing but joy and excitement permeated their expressions as they saw one another for the first time on their special day. The fragrance of fresh flowers and the fickle Mississippi Spring rain draped beautifully around the outside garden courtyard during the ceremony.

Providentially, the rain and thunder held off so that HC and Anna could have the ceremony of exquisite sentiment and delicate simplicity. Family and friends feasted and celebrated the new couple until it was time for them to drive off in spring rain. HC and Anna were married on April 6, 2019, at Old Waverly Golf Club in West Point, Mississippi.

Meredith & Robert

Weddings have the potential to be a beautiful expression of the things that you love most about life. Those things can be special people, beautiful locations, or even items dedicated to your favorite time of the year. For Robert and Meredith, their wedding was surrounded by themes of their favorite holiday, Halloween!

Meredith’s floral bouquet had gorgeous flowers with whimsical feathers tucked throughout. Robert was stunned when he saw his flawless bride for the first time on their special day in the backyard of the timeless Rowan Oak property where, author, William Faulkner made his personal abode. Surrounded by the giant cedar trees and lovely family and friends, Robert and Meredith made their commitment of marriage together.

Afterward, they invited everyone to attend their reception at The Lyric on Oxford’s Town Square, which was most definitely the party of the year. The Halloween details made for a more personal and unique distinction of their celebration. Masks and costume-inspired headbands were passed around as the crowds danced to Heart Byrne, which was a live band from Austin, Texas that was a Talking Heads cover band! A giant werewolf statue made his appearance along with the disco balls that soared on top the floral arrangements. Chanting "Hotty Toddy" along with their party and hopping into the back of a police SUV, Robert and Meredith made their spectacular exit. Robert and Meredith were married on October 27, 2018, at Rowan Oak in Oxford, Mississippi.

Emily & Toby

With spring in full swing filled with lush green foliage, dazzling flowers in beautiful bloom, and the bright blue sky beaming from above, May 19, 2018 was the absolute perfect day to get married. There was no doubt in anyone’s mind that Toby and Emily were meant to be together and they displayed that love so effortlessly and easily on their special day.

Emily’s gown was sophisticatedly beaded and had a beautiful beaded belt tied around her waist. With her long flowy veil and her colorful bouquet of flowers in hand, she was truly a stunning sight to behold. Toby wore the classic tuxedo suit which made him look timeless and exemplary. Throughout the day, as pictures and people filled every moment, they looked as if they only saw each other.

The ceremony had small, but strong symbols of Christ being the center of their commitment. Afterwards they traveled to the Tupelo Country Club in a vintage white car and danced the night away celebrating with family and friends. Toby and Emily were married on May 19, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church in Tupelo, Mississippi.
